New Site

I'm not sure if you noticed ;-) We have a new site to commemorate the launch! Let me know what you think in the comments.

The code updates are coming along. I also received notification that the first production run of boards have shipped! I'll have a week of quality testing and final adjustments, but this is the last piece of the puzzle.

After 2 years of development, the store will go live in about 1 week!! Who would've thought a simple shift light idea (that my friend asked me to make) would turn into crowd-generated, open-source performance product?  I certainly didn't.

This is only possible because of people like you.  Thank you. I would not have gotten this far if it wasn't for all your support, ideas, suggestions, and improvements.

Keep shifting!!

I have a question about the DIY kit, is the program preloaded? And is there step by step instructions on the assembly of the kit?

Hi Clint,

Good question. The DIY kit does not include the software preloaded. I am in the middle of finishing the instruction manual as we speak. I took a lot of photos and have a lot of good tips for making this successful. I'll post it on the product page and forums when complete. I expect to be completed with the instruction manual this Wednesday or Thursday.

Thanks again

I'm looking at different led options to help with the overall look once installed. I wanted to know if theses would work and if there would be any need to modify the code or would it work as is.

Hi Clint,

Those will work - but, you will need to find a new library and there's a hardware change as well. The WS2812B uses one data line, the WS2811 uses a data line and a clock line. I'm pretty sure Adafruit might have an old library for these that might work. Overall it's not that big of a software change if the command language is similar.. but probably a few evenings of testing and debugging before they operated correctly. Hope this helps.
