The Power Pack comes with an additional Buck Regulator, Diode, and Capacitor for a clean 5V @ 2A of power for the most demanding applications.

A power-select header allows you to select how power is applied to the rails: via the Nano's 7805 on-board regulator, or the buck regulator Power Pack. Each pin on the Arduino has a PCB connection followed by five open (non-connected) development holes. This allows you to place components, displays, buttons, switches, and sensors in any physical configuration and route them to any pin you choose. You're not limited by the board size or location of pins!
