StarChips are ultra-small, high-density LED strips that work with common Arduino libraries and other driver modules. This flexible strip with adhesive backing is packed with 2020 size LEDs. At 200LED density per meter, StarChips strips have the most LED's and the smallest footprint currently available on the market.
These are fully compatible with the V3.1 shift light, as well as other applications that use larger 5050 APA102 LEDs. To drive these LEDs, check out libraries from Adafruit and FastLED.
The APA102-2020-8192 200/m is functionally the same as the APA102-2020 198/m with just a slightly more LEDs per meter, improved clock and gray scaling, up to 20 Mhz PWM speed.
The 1-Meter strips have solder pads every 33cm - however, soldering wires or terminals to these pads is analogous to SMD (Surface Mounted). You will need a very, very fine point soldering iron (or reflow heat gun) and a very steady hand.
Sold only in whole 1-Meter lengths with a pre-soldered JST connector.
